You are capable of speaking to God with the quiet thoughts in your head and with the deepest feelings in your heart. Within these chambers of our soul is where God gives us answers in return; he gives us answers to our prayers through our thoughts and feelings. To stay in tune with the Lord and interpret his incites more easily, stay consistent in prayer and explore the scriptures. Ignoring the Lord’s insights will lead to more confusion in your life and a lack of peace.
Eternal God, you know the troubles and pains of the people of Israel-Palestine: We pray for the victims of injustice and violence but also for those who have caused suffering. We pray for those who cannot enter their places of work. We pray for young people who are losing their hope for the future and for mothers who are tired of bloodshed and killing. We pray for the bereaved families, who have lost their beloved ones.

Holy One, you do not distance yourself from the pain of your people, but in Jesus bear that pain with us and bless all who suffer at others’ hands. Hallow my flesh and all creation; with your cleansing love bring me healing and strength; and by your justice, lift me up, that in the body you have given me, I may again rejoice. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Merciful God, in the birth of your Son Jesus Christ in Bethlehem you became one of us; you shared our joy, suffering and pain. We thank you for taking refuge in Egypt and for identifying yourself with refugees and victims of political power. We thank you for your suffering on the cross and for identifying yourself with those who suffer from injustice and live under occupation.
I was recently given this prayer by an Eastern Catholic deacon. I love it because it is a prayer of abandonment and trust in God for the daily details in our lives, and expresses well how much we need His help to live each day well. It has become a new favorite prayer to recite in the mornings as I begin my work day. I hope you benefit from this prayer as much as I have!

I lost my father in 2013. We were very close, spoke almost everyday. I am not going to lie to you it wrecked me. I am also in my 50s. I don’t know if you have sisters or brother’s, but one day I started texting them what I call Dadisums…Just funny things he use to say like “It’s like catching lighting in a bag” and they would respond with other ones…It’s makes us laugh and remember him fondly…Takes some of the pain away, at least for us.And we know one one of us starts these round of texts it a way of telling the other person we are missing him today…
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith the salvation of your souls. (1 Pet 1.3-9)
Father I know that in Your word it tells us not to worry about anything – but rather to cast all of my burdens upon You - and Father I truly want to do this – but at times I find it so difficult to put this into practice – Lord, at times the circumstances that I am facing are very hard to bear and too often I find myself in an attitude of worry and anxiety.
Enable me to rest beside Your still waters of refreshment and sleep in Your arms of comfort give me I pray that peace – that perfect peace that only flows from You to those that have their mind stayed on You.. Keep my heart and mind focussed on Jesus I pray and help me not to be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication makeing my requests known to You – with a thankful heart.

I am working in this place for 3 months now…I found out that all of my co-workers fight and hate each other. I couldn’t stand it anymore so I thought of looking some prayers that I might use to pray daily. I deeply believe if I’ll keep praying this, it could make a big difference here. I can’t wait. I really love this prayer. I won’t stop praying for them and for all of us to have peace. I love you Jesus!

I would like to thank the contributing team that makes sure our requests are prayed for. I made a request during the middle of this month and the lord has answered. I asked him to have my boyfriend contact me before Christmas. The results did not happen the exact way that I asked for in my request i.e. I am the one who contacted him on Dec 27th, 2010 but I do realize now that my prayer to talk Read More...

I want to thank you so very much for the opportunity offered by your website to have a prayer said in our name at one of the holiest places in the world.  The prayer I submitted was so that I could get a well-paying job with the Government as I was working for the Federal Aviation Administration as a contract employee and was trying to get in as a permanent employee but it didn’t look like that was going to Read More...
The world can be cruel and unfair at times. We see good things happen to good people. God doesn’t cause them, but he is capable of blessing us with his peace. Practice the presence of God and pray. You can find peace by praying and meditating on what is holy. The act of praying allows you to think on purity, excellence and truth; this fills your heart with good.
71. Jesus, you took it all away, the sufferings upon the cross a remainder of the thoughts you have towards me, from my sorrows and all my troubles I have come to you with a heart of thanksgiving, away from the distractions, away from it all I have come to find your peace and comfort. I receive both your peace that assures and your overwhelming comfort upon my life in the name of Jesus. Amen
Lord Jesus Christ, by your patience in suffering you hallowed earthly pain and gave us the example of obedience to your Father’ will: Be near me in my time of weakness and pain; sustain me by your grace, that my strength and courage may not fail; heal me according to you will; and help me always to believe that what happens to me here is of little account if you hold me in eternal life, my Lord and my God. Amen.
97. Forsaken by all I put my trust in, deserted by those I thought I could identify with, where is my God is the question upon the heart of those who make mockery of me, peace they say in their heart has fled from him then I lift up my head in prayers and remember the covenant of the Lord, then I cause to come to remembrance that I read in the scriptures in John 16:33"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace", then my heart is strengthened and I lift up my voice in cry that I may the Lord is my peace upon the land of living. Amen
Even though severe pas ( parental alienation syndrome ) she was a loving caring Young woman that tried to rise above it never kept my granddaughter away from me. Un fortunately my other two children are fully engulfed in it. I have no comfort in greveing as a family with them I am all alone. My depression and anxiety and anger is all my own. If I try to reach out to them thier mother still calls my a narcissistic person looking for sympathy. She is evil by the way. My depression is real as any father has. Days are bad then worse

69. In the morning my mouth will declare of you, you will be my song in the afternoon and yet also at night will I make melodies of what you have done and tell of how you poured peace upon my heart that is not moved and tossed to and fro by all around me but found an anchor in you upon which all am safely assured riding upon your comfort and dwelling in your peace.

We begin by acknowledging that Jesus is Lord, that we live in grace and that eternity awaits us. The enemies of peace are fear, shame and pain. All of these are dissolved by the redemptive Christ and his love. Even when we ask for this peace and don't feel it - it is there underpinning the whole of our being. Like a safety net beneath us, this peace that surpasses all understanding is a constant. It does not change, it cannot fail. It is wider and deeper than we can ever imagine.
