I walked in this manner for awhile and then I began to want more. The Word and service to God became what I desired and couldn’t live without. As I began seeking and serving God more He began to speak to me revealing His purpose for my life through His Word, through prophetic revelations that would be given to me that would always confirm what He had already placed in my spirit.
I was recently given this prayer by an Eastern Catholic deacon. I love it because it is a prayer of abandonment and trust in God for the daily details in our lives, and expresses well how much we need His help to live each day well. It has become a new favorite prayer to recite in the mornings as I begin my work day. I hope you benefit from this prayer as much as I have!

Continue to provide me with Your perfect peace of mind that passes man’s understanding and provide me I pray, with the strength to face the difficulties in life that can so often causes our hearts to fail for fear of what is coming on the earth. In the power of Your Spirit give me I pray the strength to stand firm in the evil day – knowing that Your grace is sufficient for all eventualities – for Your strength is made perfect in my weakness.. in my dependence upon You.
God our strong deliverer: when those charged with the urgent mediation of your healing power feel overwhelmed by the numbers of the suffering, uphold them in their fatigue and banish their despair. Let them see with your eyes, so they may know all their patients as precious. Give comfort, and renew their energy and compassion, for the sake of Jesus in whom is our life and our hope. Amen.
You have blessed us with dreamers who arrived here as children and today seek a way to make their contribution to our common life. We pray for them now. We pray that they will be allowed to work, study and live in safety. We pray that those in authority may turn away from the demons of prejudice, fear and scarcity, that they will set their hearts on acts of mercy. We pray that you will give us vision and inspire our concrete actions as we seek to realize our goal of liberty and justice for all.
97. Forsaken by all I put my trust in, deserted by those I thought I could identify with, where is my God is the question upon the heart of those who make mockery of me, peace they say in their heart has fled from him then I lift up my head in prayers and remember the covenant of the Lord, then I cause to come to remembrance that I read in the scriptures in John 16:33"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace", then my heart is strengthened and I lift up my voice in cry that I may the Lord is my peace upon the land of living. Amen
The world can be cruel and unfair at times. We see good things happen to good people. God doesn’t cause them, but he is capable of blessing us with his peace. Practice the presence of God and pray. You can find peace by praying and meditating on what is holy. The act of praying allows you to think on purity, excellence and truth; this fills your heart with good.
Jesus overcomes the world with all of its pain, wars, and evil because He is the Prince of Peace. It is through Him that we can pray and know that those who walk uprightly will enter into peace (Isaiah 57:2). “If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). Jesus has offered us a way to peace regardless of circumstances; we must decide daily which way to follow.
